Recentley i saw a little mouse come out of my fire place, i was just wondering do they often have a little army of them or it will it be the only one?
CheersDo house mice usual come more than one?
Where there's one, there's usually more. They are sociable animals and thrive together. There are no loners in the mice world.Do house mice usual come more than one?
You're probably looking at one of two scenarios:
a) the mouse found its way in from the outside.
In this case, you don't have a lot to worry about - he's probably just a lost straggler.
b) you've got a nest somewhere and this single mouse is just the tip of the iceberg.
Now which of the two it is is sometimes tough to tell -
but since the little guy came out of your fireplace, there is a good chance he simply found his way down your chimney.
Check your house for mouse droppings along the edge of walls and in dark corners - especially in the garage and basement. Also check to see if any stored food containers like dog food or seeds have been gnawed.
All that could point to a larger problem.
If you're still not 100% at ease, you can always call a pest service. Many of them offer the first consultation for free.
Good luck!
