Would my savannah monitor survive on a mice alone diet?

Like every 2 days i give him a hopper mice. Hes like 5 months old and real skinny. I will give him crickets sometimes but i really want to fatten him up. So can i or is it a bad idea?Would my savannah monitor survive on a mice alone diet?
he is still a growing monitor and you should be feeding him his fill every day and yes, a diet of just mice is proven just fine despite the fact that savs are natural insectivores that rarely if ever eat vertebrates in the wild. instead of feeding him hoppers just chop up a f/t adult like this

mice are also just a much more realistic feeding option. i mean come on try filling up this 3 foot guy on just crickets

Yes, well maybe.

Insects can make up the bulk of the savannah monitor's diet, supplemented by an occasional rodent. ocassional meaning like once a month.

A diet based largely on rodents may also be used, but it is unknown if this will cause health problems in the long term (wild savannah monitors eat almost entirely invertebrates).
