Can you connect multiple usb keyboards and mice to one laptop?

Specifically I am looking to see if there is a configuration issue or a conflict issue. Can you connect multiple usb keyboards and mice to one laptop?
With the keyboards their might be, but with the mouses their won't. I have two cursors on my desktop as a backup if my wireless dies. Can you connect multiple usb keyboards and mice to one laptop?
You can use as many USB mice and keyboards as you have USB ports to plug them into. Need more ports? Go buy a USB hub.

One caveat. While the devices will all work in a basic mode without any installed software from the vendor, there is no guarantee that enhancement software installed from different vendors will play nicely together.

From the major brands like Microsoft and Logitech, yes, but all bets are off with the smaller vendors.

Yes you can, but you will need a switching device. www.microcomputercable.com

I guess you can also experiment with a USB hub and plug everything in and see what happens. I am thinking you will need a switch, like a KSM switch.
Yeah you can put keyboards and mice in all the plugs if you wanted to and use them all.
