Can I feed pinky mice to my pet turtle?

He's a big boy so I'm sure he can eat em with no problems but would he actually go for them and are they healthy for him? It's a red eared slider by the way.Can I feed pinky mice to my pet turtle?
Yes you could...they do eat anything that';';';'; MOVES';';....





They can have garden worms which I collect after a good rain and dump them in the pond, also meal worms, snails, crickets, flies, crayfish small frogs, slugs, tadpoles, ghost shrimp , dragon flies and anything that moves, but only as a treat.


They need leafy greens Romaine, Butter lettuce,grapes.

It would probably be okay to feed it to him once a month AT MOST..if you give him to much it would be very fatty.


also they need to be dead..dont feed him live ones...does your local pet store sell frozen pinkies? if so buy one and thaw it out and try..theres a chance he might not even eat it and expect to clean your tank if he does , itll be messy!

I watched some videos of this on Youtube yesterday and the turtles looked like they loved it....even though turtles seem to eat and love just about everything

NO!!! iv had turtles for years...you don't want to feed them mice...its bad for there digestive track... the best thing to feed them is minnows the small ones used for fishing. and earthworms...its fun to dangle the worms above their heads and watch them eat
No do not they do not like them and they are fattening. also they dont see them in nature. and dont say ';well they do not see prepared diets in the wild.'; Just dont give him pinkies.

Pink mice are high in fat, however, as another poster suggested.

yes definatly but only give it 1 every so often or it'll get fat mine will eat them also they will eat feeder gold fish if they are big enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
