Where can I find real rat or mice breeders?

Not for food but as pets. I don't trust petstores. Also whats a better food? Mazuri seems to be high in protein and dear god don't say KayteeWhere can I find real rat or mice breeders?
I had the same dilemma but eventually just went to a pet store. I know what you're talking about though, not to mention the fact that the mice from pet stores probably have a bad genetic background and shorter lifespan.


For food, I make my own mix and the mice are doing great. I use dog food (low protein), rolled oats, lentils, flax seeds, and mashed-up pasta. Unsweetened cereals are also good.Where can I find real rat or mice breeders?
