Should I get a dwarf hamster or two mice?

Get two mice. They are so much nicer, you cant get a mean mouse. You cant take a chance in getting a mean hampster.Should I get a dwarf hamster or two mice?
I have two mice, They are very gentle and rarely bite.

I have friends who have had hamsters that smell and bite anything that touches them.

Mice don't stink at allShould I get a dwarf hamster or two mice?
especially with rodents (since they will be caged for quite some time) you should always get two so they can interact with each other. they will be happier in pairs.
The two mice, Hamsters bite alot and are not the funnest things. Mice are fun and they can keep each other company.
I own 2 colonies of mice, they are lovely. I've never been bitten by them and I love them with my heart. I hae a 120 gallon of them and a 75 gallon of them. I think I have 100 of them. They are all loved. I stick my hand in the tank and they all crawl up my arm. They don't jump off to the ground, they crawl up, get loved and then hop down. They are truly babes. I say go with them.
dwarf hamsters are very boring, mice are alright but loud as hell at night, i would get a teddybear hamster if i were you, those are really cute
i would recommend you should get 2 mice because we have a dwarf hamster and she isnt very friendly, i love her to bits but she tends to get quite bitey .
Probably 2 mice, my dwarf hamster bites sometimes but is very entertaining.
Mice are so funny! Get them a big mesh rat wheel to play on and they are a riot. They are mostly nocturnal though. If you go to bed at dark, you are going to miss the fun. If I was going to get mice I would get three females at the same time and perhaps two fancy mice at least so you can tell them apart. Make sure you spend some time looking and handling them before you buy, maybe get the aquarium set up ahead of time so you can let them out right away when you get home. We love our hamsters also, even the ones that bite.
I had two dwarf hamsters and when i stuck my hand in the cage the would lunge at my hand to bite. I would say 2 mice or like a teddy bear or black bear hamster are great!
Oh wow. 0_o I am VERY surprised at all the recommendations for mice. Everyone is saying hamsters bite, stink, and are boring. I wonder where they got that info and how they've been treating them. Sorry if I sounded like a know-it-all right there but its true.

-Hamsters ONLY bite when ppl are mean to them.

-They ONLY stink when their owners don't take care of them. -And they ONLY are boring when their owners don't give them stuff to play with. I'm so surprised at these owners. Apparently, they don't know anything about hamsters... I would definitly recommend the dwarf hamsters.

~WHY?~

1. You can actually hold them.

2. Very cute

3. Entertaining and fun!

4. Normally don't bite unless frightened or treated badly

5. VERY easy to take care of

6. They will stay in pairs if raised at a young age

7. There are ';hamster races'; for them in Petco.

8. Love you back and aren't snake food. Poor mice. =(

9. More variety in coat colors.

Those are reasons why. =D I hope you get a dwarf hamster!
i have two robo dwarfs. one is very sweet and never bites, one will bite every now and then. they are buddies and sleep on top of each other and take baths right next to each other and are way more entertaining than i thought they would be.
dwarf hamsters will bite at first but once you hand feed them and be NICE to them they will get used to you and will stop biting. Mice bite hard!! when i got 2 mice before and they were running all over the place!! they also can sqeeze thru those barred cages and escape! it was my first gerbil pet so i didn't know any better :). Both of them weren't very entertaining for me. if you do still get them MAKE SURE YOU CHECK TO SEE IF YOU GET THE SAME GENDER OOR YOU WILL END UP WITH 27 BABY GERBILS LIKE ME!!!!!
I have two winter white dwarf hamsters and get are gorgeous! They look like little fur balls. Many dwarfs like to live in groups (similar to mice). Mine have never bitten me and love to come out and play.

It all depends on how they are treated when they were young. I know with dwarf hamsters, they need to be regularly handled or they can become wild and untame, even if they were tame before. So take this into account before you decide!
You want two mice. Hamsters are known to bite but mice rarely do. Mice and hamsters both stink if males. Males urine gives off a strong smell while females is not that strong of a smell. Dwarf Hamsters are not very active and yes mice will be active during the night. They aren't noisy unless you get them a wheel that squeaks loudly like mine does!
whats wired is that loads say dwarf hamsters bite! mine have never ever bitten me... Its just to do with how well they were breed and handled at birth. Dwarf hamsters are cute, so's mice but as a personal opinion I prefer hamsters. Both are very entertaining to watch! Which ever you get will be great!
I would get one dwarf hamster:

1. Hamsters are very clean and tidy animals and you only have to clean their cages once a week.

2. Dwarf hamsters have silky fur.

3. They are so sweet and extremely entertaining.

Those are my reasons but I have to tell you this first:

1. When at the pet store, check the hamsters for one that is timid and will rarely bite.

2. Hamsters are nocturnal - don't keep on in your bedroom!
