Male and female mice in the same room?

I currently have a male mouse. I'm interested in taking a couple of female mice off the hands of a friend who can't care for them. Would they have issues if they were kept in the same room? (In separate cages, of course.) To clarify a little bit, would my male mouse go crazy from smelling the females and not being able to get to them? Or vice versa? Any help would be much appreciated.Male and female mice in the same room?
I've kept both male and female mice in the same room, as well as both male and female rats and have had no problems. Make sure their cages are at least a few inches apart, though, as if the males are very close to them it may make them want to escape to get in with the females. Also, if the cages are right next to each other it is even possible for them to breed right through the bars! But as long as they are not that close together there should be no problems. Good luck with your mice!Male and female mice in the same room?
I think it would be perfectly fine as long as they are in seperate cages. You might not want to put the cages right next to each other though.
They shouldn't. However, if you stick the cages side by side then they might get curious and stick their noses through or something small.
