You don't.. just leave a bunch of traps out in different places with peanut butter on them..that will kill those miceHow do you know how many mice you have if you have already killed two?
You don't know exactly how many you have, but you have a bunch. Leave out traps--peanut butter works great. How do you know how many mice you have if you have already killed two?
Be very quiet and listen, if u hear a mouse ramble, set a trap and put it in a dark area and turn the lights off, go to sleep, and soon u will hear the trap go off.
Use cheese or butter in the trap.
You may not have anymore mice(could of been a field mouse
that lured in)
Just in case, set a trap and plant peppermint and spearment around your home to repel mice.
Proper domestic military protocol is that you should interview the detained mice first, before killing them. There's always at least one disgruntled mouse that is willing to rat ( I mean snitch) on the others if given good motivation. That's the one you have to target and weasil information out of as to the size of their colony, the leadership, where they camp, their daily and nightly routines, where they acquire food, etc.
wait and see how many show up for the funerals of the first two!!
Mice are nesting creatures. The average house can support up to one mouse for every 10 square feet and most mice live within that size area. Mice also tend to stay near food and water sources so the areas of infestation can be limited.
One way to tell is to place cotton balls out around the home before you go to bed and see how many disappear during the nite. They will use these for nesting material and can be an indicator of more activity . Also check for any droppings along baseboards or in cupboards.
The first thing needed is to locate where the mice are getting into the home and seal those areas. Mice can fit into any area they can get their head into so you need to seal any holes larger than a dime. Then you can use glue boards or traps to eliminate any left over without getting a new infestation. Baits would be a last resort as they can be moved by rodents and can harm pets and children.
Good Luck !!
You Don't, Mice breed a lot and you could have Quite a few of them. I caught about 12 of them in my kitchen ceiling. (Has a access panel to the water pipes above)
