How come when I put one of my mice in a hamster ball, they never run in it?

Why don't they? THey barley move in it.How come when I put one of my mice in a hamster ball, they never run in it?
ya my gerbil never did that either, he never went on the wheel too, its just something he probably doesn't like. but i bet if you were to put him in it for a little bit every day and give him a little push, he might get use to it and roll around a bitHow come when I put one of my mice in a hamster ball, they never run in it?
They probably aren't used to it or maybe the ball is too big for them. One of my mice loves running around in her ball so I know that some mice do like it. You just have get the smallest sized ball and let them get used to it and learn how to use it. Good luck!





Update: My other mouse never used to like the ball. However I left her in it for 10 min or so today and she learned how to use it and loves it now. So I think the problem is your mice probably just aren't used to it... give them time :)
They probably feel inclosed. Uncomfortable. Lazy. Not in the mood.


I don't think mice like things like that.


They probably only like wheels because they can go on and off.

My new hamster did they same thing. Maybe they don't no what to do in it.
