At what age are baby mice ready to leave the mother?

Ours are about 4 weeks old... and we have 15 of them! The father was removed as soon as she had the babys.. and 6 of the babys are sold already... Just waiting for them to be old enough! At what age are baby mice ready to leave the mother?
Baby mice are fully weaned from their mother at about four weeks old, but they

benefit a lot from staying with their litter mates for another week - the

disruption of leaving both mother, sibilings and home in one day is a lot to

cope with. Ideally they should not leave the litter before 5 weeks of age.

If you get them too young they will be jumpy and hard to socialize at first;

see the section below on mouse development. Some pet shops will offer mice

for sale as soon as they start to eat solid food, at about 2 weeks of age.

However, although mice this young eat solids, they really do need their

mother's milk for another couple of weeks. Mice weaned this early often don't

survive.

Mice are not fully grown until at least 12 weeks of age, although many mice

take longer than this to reach full size

About 6 or 8 weeks.

Where are you, I want one!
No sooner than 6 weeks, and no later than eight(possible breeding age for most)

The longer they stay with the litter the better, 4 weeks is still a bit premature as that is around when they are just getting fully on solids.

Good luck with them, and I hope you are rehoming them in same sex pairs, mice like company.
3-4 weeks is fine. In fact, they should be separated now by sex so the male pups don't get the female pups pregnant. Female mice go into puberty as early as 4 weeks old, so separate them ASAP! If you plan to breed them again, always always always make sure you take the male out BEFORE any pups are born. The female will often mate again the very same day as the pups are born and back to back pregnancies are very difficult on the dam.
